M.A. in Translation & Interpretation, LaSalle University
M.A. in Multicultural Education, Eastern University
B.A. in Spanish and Education, Eastern University

While I started teaching at Eastern in the Language & Cultural Studies Department in 2014, I already knew it quite well from my time here as a student. Thanks to my exemplary language training at Eastern, I found a job immediately teaching in a vocational school where I ran the Spanish and the ESL Departments. After three years as a regular instructor, I concurrently embraced the world of cyber educational at an online high school for another year. I’ve always known that I would be an educator and these first experiences were crucial to my career. In them I not only learned how to hone my pedagogical skills but I also found a love for interpreting between schools and the Hispanic community. As a result, after earning my first master’s degree in education, I started a second in Translation and Interpretation so that I could better serve the community that I love. Currently I am passionate about three main things: faith, education and interpretation. I believe that we do not have to choose between academia and Christianity, between being well-educated and people of faith. We can be, and I believe we are called to be, excellent as both. For me, when I am serving God and others through language, I know what it means to feel realized. It is my passion to continue sharing that passion through service with those around me.
