Dr. Gribbin has taught online, classroom, hybrid, clinical, lab, and simulation in a variety of programs including ASN, BSN, MSN, and as adjunct in the business department at a Community College. Her lengthy clinical experience was mostly in Medical Surgical Nursing, and additional experiences in Same Day Surgery, and VNA. Dr. Gribbin has clinical experience as a hospital unit manager, team leader, clinical preceptor, and unit educator, as well as Nurse Aide program Coordinator, and the Director of Staff Development in LTC.
Dr. Gribbin is an NLN Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), a PA National League for Nursing (PLN) officer, a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, active volunteer member of Bucks County Medical Reserves, and serves in her Parish Health Ministry. She received the Research Award from Theta Rho chapter of Sigma Theta Tau in 2011.
Being an online learner for over 10 years as a student, and teaching online over 8 years, her interests are in online education, technology use, and RN’s student satisfaction and success. In the past, she has converted a classroom nursing concepts class into an online format, revised a research course from regular academic schedule to modules, developed online content in other online courses, developed/implemented online content in the Nurse Aide program, and was a member of Quality Matters team, learning to deliver quality online content. Dr. Gribbin believes that teaching online can create an online learning, supportive, and caring environment that can utilize all students’ talents through interactivity and diverse teaching strategies that is critical in students achieving program and learner outcomes.
