

Cara Blouin has been an enthusiastic PEP instructor since 2022. She began her career in international education, working in the US and China to train teachers and develop arts-based English language and civics curricula aimed at creating social change. She earned her BA in Directing Theater from Marymount Manhattan College, MBA from Eastern University and MEd in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. She has served Eastern as an instructor and course designer in General Education, and joined the Psychology department in 2023 as an adjunct professor. Cara worked as the on-staff therapist for direct service providers at Broad Street Ministry in Philadelphia, where she focused on burnout and compassion fatigue. She is an LPC in private practice, serves on the curriculum committee at the Gestalt Institute of Philadelphia, and is a certified mindfulness meditation instructor.
