Senior Dance Concert: February 5-7

St. Davids, PA, January 29, 2016: Eastern University will celebrate the accomplishments of its senior dance majors with its annual Senior Dance Concert February 5-7, 2016 in McInnis Auditorium on the St. Davids campus. This year’s program, entitled Out with a Bang, combines original work and live performances by six graduating seniors.

Out with a Bang is not your usual dance concert.  It is broken into two programs, each featuring performances by different dancers and focusing on various themes and styles. Program A features choreographers Katie Green, Emilee Carey and Elky Fuentes as they explore human relationships with one another and with God, certain Shakespearean plays that lend themselves to wordless portrayals, and extreme emotional states that are experienced through anatomy. Program B features choreographers Rachel Travis, Lydia Adams and Rachael Lyons as they explore the epidemic of child abuse in this country, the similarities between gardening and tending to one’s spiritual growth and the classic film Pirates of the Caribbean as re-imagined through lively dance sequences.

Come see both shows for the price of one to witness these extraordinarily gifted dancers who will not only entertain, but also engage your intellect.
