EU Presents 2015 Winter Dance Show: Regeneration

St. Davids, PA, November 23, 2015:  This December, Eastern University’s Dance Department presents Regeneration, an entertaining performance of content-driven choreography for all ages.  Performances will be held Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5 at 8p.m. and Sunday December 6 at 3p.m. All performances will be held in McInnis Auditorium on the St. Davids campus.

Regeneration celebrates the end of the Fall semester with original pieces choreographed by Eastern faculty and students. With styles ranging from tap dancing to Graham-based Modern, this professionally produced program will restore your soul as the semester winds down. Adjunct faculty member, Melissa Chisena, says about her piece, “Waterfall”, “this piece is inspired by movement that is ever continuous in flow and accumulation with the visualization of a waterfall.  It plays with the overlapping complexities of repetition, speed and obstacles that might alter or hinder flow of water.  The piece ties into the theme of Regeneration in that the ‘waterfall’ of movement is constantly reinventing its flow and pathway, creating a reincarnation of the same substance, but yet so different every time it regenerates in a new space.” Choreographers and dancers alike invite you to come and be rejuvenated by the exciting mix of physicality and commentary at these performances!
