International Student Health Requirements
Eastern University's Core Values include a Commitment to Community, Evangelism, Discipleship and World Justice, where students are welcomed from all corners of the globe.
We are further committed to improved and continuing Health and Wellness within our community and are required to uphold State and Local Health Department Requirements regarding Communicable Disease and proof of immunizations for our college students.
A current Physical examination (within 1 year) signed by a physician and Health History Form must also be submitted prior to I-20 issuance. Health Forms can be downloaded here if you have not received them from the Admissions Department.
First year international students are required to have the school's insurance and are automatically enrolled in the program. After one year, they may choose to either enroll in the school's health insurance or enroll in an approved compatible health insurance plan. Students must then waive the insurance online.
For complete information on the EU Insurance Policy and to view a brochure go to www.firststudent.com, click Eastern University then brochure.
Students that require short residencies (under five weeks) may purchase their own policy such as www.insuremytrip.com. The plan must include doctor's office visits, hospitalizations, medical air lift home if necessary and repatriation costs.
