Credit Balance Refund Process of Eastern University

When a student's account has a credit balance, the university will refund the credit to the student. The refund will be made to the student in 14 business days, as required by federal regulations for Title IV funds.

Refund methods include:

  • Paper Check mailed to the address on file
  • Direct Deposit/E-Refund (click image below)

Special Note

When a student's enrollment status has changed after the student has received a refund based on Federal Title IV funds, the student may be required to repay all or part of the financial aid received to Eastern University.

Each student is responsible for all charges incurred while attending Eastern University. The student is responsible for all activity on their student account. If an unexpected refund check is received by a student or the refund amount exceeds the student's expectation, the student should contact Student Accounts to verify the Refund amount.

("Title IV Funds" refers to the Federal financial aid programs authorized under the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and includes Federal: Direct loans, PLUS loans, Perkins loans, Pell grants, and SEOG.)
