Talent and Clifton Strengths at Eastern University
Eastern University is very pleased to use the Clifton Strengths for Students system of strengths development, part of Gallup’s Education Practice, to help students discover their God-given talents and how to turn those talents, through time and practice, into strengths.
What is a talent? What is a strength?
Talents are naturally recurring patterns of thoughts, feelings, or behaviors that can be productively applied. Strengths are the ability to consistently provide near-perfect performance in a specific tasks. When talents are developed over time through practice, they become strengths.
What is Clifton Strengths?
Your Clifton Strengths for Students journey begins with a 30-minute online assessment. This assessment has helped more than 9 million people around the world discover their talents and is used by more than 600 schools in North America. After learning about their Top 5 Signature Themes, students learn how their unique talents can help them succeed academically, explore career options, and lead in their communities.
How do I purchase the Clifton Strengths for Students?
Please contact the Center for Career Development at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 610-341-5827. The assessments are $10 per person, and includes the online Clifton Strengths for Students assessment as well as the online book.
