

Tod Gilmore began teaching at Eastern in the Fall of 2006 as an Adjunct Instructor of Marketing. He has taught Business as a Profession, Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior and Business to Business Marketing. Mr. Gilmore routinely teaches Principles of Sales Management, Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), Contemporary Issues in Marketing and Marketing for Entrepreneurial Ventures. He teaches Principles of Marketing, Principles of Management, Business Ethics & Leadership and International Business online.
Mr. Gilmore has over 30 years of management, strategic marketing, sales and consulting work experience in the retail, manufacturing, transportation, and education sectors having worked for both domestic Fortune 200 companies and large multi-national enterprises. He served as founder and principal owner of a management consultancy practice specializing in business development and process improvement planning and implementation in the local government sector.
Mr. Gilmore’s passions include strategic management, B2B marketing, entrepreneurship and faith, work and economics integration for human flourishing and the common good.
Mr. Gilmore enjoys Eastern because Eastern University provides him with the opportunity to integrate his Christian faith with the marketing discipline while fulfilling his vocation. As a born again believer and marketing professional, he has a concern for marketplace justice and decision-making. As a teacher at Eastern University, he is God's steward for the development of students by engaging them in dialogue that awakens their minds, shapes a disciplined understanding, advances their knowledge base, and transforms that knowledge into virtuous action in the marketplace. His calling is to prepare students to apply a Christian worldview and moral theory to the variety of dilemmas facing a Christian pursuing a marketing career and Eastern University is the place God has called him to fulfill this calling.
Mr. Gilmore has extensive hands-on sales and marketing experience in the retail, industrial packaging and transportation/logistics industries. Over the past 25 years he has held senior sales and marketing positions with several Fortune 500 companies including F.W. Woolworth Co., Sonoco Products Co., Jefferson Smurfit Corp., International Paper Co., Ryder Systems and First Group America.
In 2006 Mr. Gilmore co-founded Priority One Management Solutions, Inc., a provider of vehicle fleet and mobile workforce productivity and efficiency solutions, including management consulting and mobile resource management (MRM) products and services for the local and state government and commercial sector. He served as Vice President of Business Development for the practice until December 2013.
