Why Minor in Mathematics at Eastern?
The Mathematics Minor at Eastern University provides a course of study that prepares majors for graduate work in mathematics, or work in other related fields such as actuarial science, computer-related fields, and the sciences.
Eighteen hours to include MATH 160, 161, 214, and nine credits from MATH 240, 244, 300, 320, 340, 350, or 380.
Students desiring secondary certification in mathematics should complete the education courses required for Secondary Education certification, and the Mathematics Major requirements. The following courses must be taken as part of these requirements:
- MATH 340 Geometry
- MATH 410 Teaching of Mathematics – Secondary Level
