Curriculum Overview

Degree Requirements - 48 Credits

42 credits – Core Studies
3 credits – Doctoral Project
3 credits – Field Supervision of Counseling

Curriculum Delivery Model

  • Cohort model: Students move through the curriculum as a group. DA and PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy Students take coursework together for the first two years of study.
  • Blended Online and Residency instructional format with a one-week residency of intensive classroom instruction and 14 weeks of online coursework.  Attendance at residency weeks is mandatory.
  • Three terms per year: May-August, September-December, January-April
  • Two courses (6 credits) per term
  • Three year program of study
