Graduate & Adult Undergraduate Admissions Process

Prospective Students

Associate's Programs

Application Materials

To be considered for admission to Eastern University’s AA programs, please submit the following items:

  • Completed and signed application for admission. Apply Online Today or Download Adult Undergraduate Application (w/ All Required Forms).  Download Application Checklist.
  • A non-refundable $25.00 application fee payable to Eastern University, waived if applied online
  • Current resume or CV indicating work and educational history and professional affiliations
  • Official high school transcript/GED certificate. 
  • Oficial transcript from EACH college or post-secondary institution attended. Request for Official College Transcript
  • For applicants who studied in educational systems outside the United States an official evaluation of academic credentials in English from a NACES member organization is required. An evaluation from World Education Services is preferred.
  • For applicants whose language of instruction was not English: Minimum test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 79 (internet-based) or 213 (computer-based) or minimum international English Language testing system (IELTS) score of 6.5.
  • Specific programs may require interviews or other supplementary information prior to making admission decisions. 
  • Disclosure of Online Learning Expectations (DOLE Form).  Download Disclosure of Online Learning Expectations (DOLE Form)

Admissions will order your high school and college transcripts for you! Just complete the High School Transcript Request Form or the Request for Transcript of GED Test Scores form and the Request for Official College Transcript for each college attended. Fax or scan them back. We will then place the order on your behalf and cover the costs. It is a small way in which we can say, "Thank you for applying to Eastern University." Please note that transcripts requested from the Philadelphia School District may take as long as three months to be received.

Additional Information

  • Completed and signed original documents are required for all application forms. Faxed transcripts are considered unofficial documents and are not acceptable for admission to the University. Completed applications with all necessary documentation are reviewed on a regular basis.  For doctoral applications only, all completed application portfolios are reviewed together following the application deadline.
  • It is the individual applicant’s responsibility to monitor the status of his/her application file and to ensure the completion of his/her file.
  • Once the application, application fee, official transcript (s), resume, recommendation forms, essay(s), DOLE form and any additional credentials required have been received, the applicant’s records will be evaluated and he/she will receive notice of admission status by mail.
  • Applicants interested in applying for Financial Aid should contact the Financial Aid Office at 610-225-5102
  • From time to time, personal interviews may be requested by a program director and/or admissions director prior to an admission decision being rendered.
  • Applications, documentation and application fee are valid for two years upon receipt by the University.
  • Eastern University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and does not discriminate in any of its policies, programs, or activities on the basis of gender, race, handicap, marital or parental status, or national or ethnic origin.

Bachelor's Programs

  • For applicants who studied in educational systems outside the United States an official evaluation of academic credentials in English from a NACES member organization is required. An evaluation from World Education Services is preferred.
  • For applicants whose language of instruction was not English: Minimum test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 79 (internet-based) or 213 (computer-based) or minimum international English Language testing system (IELTS) score of 6.5.

Application Materials

To be considered for admission to Eastern University’s Doctoral programs, please submit the following items:

  • Completed an online application for admission. Apply Online Today.
  • A non-refundable $75.00 application fee payable to Eastern University
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Leadership Record
  • Writing Sample (a copy of a research thesis or research project that showcases the student’s prior work)
  • Official transcript(s) from institution that granted your baccalaureate degree. Request for Official College Transcript
  • Official trascript (s) from institution that granted your master’s degree and all other graduate-level coursework completed.  Request for Official College Transcript
  • For applicants who studied in educational systems outside the United States an official evaluation of academic credentials in English from a NACES member organization is required. An evaluation from World Education Services is preferred.

  • Specific programs may require official results of standardized tests, interviews or other supplementary information prior to making admission decisions.

PhD in Organizational Leadership Check List
