St. Davids, PA: Eastern University is excited to announce it is now offering a Master of Science in Data Analytics. This program is 100% online, costs only $9,900, and prepares students for successful careers in data-driven industries.
The MS in Data Analytics is a flexible, self-paced program intentionally curated to provide students with technical expertise that is in high demand in the field. Graduates emerge equipped with essential skills in statistics, predictive analytics, data visualization, and more, positioning them to excel in many different career paths. Coursework ranges from statistical modeling to Python programming, data manipulation, machine learning models, philosophical and ethical issues in data science, and more.
“I am incredibly excited about the Data Analytics program,” said program director Dr. Greg Longo. “After experiencing the eagerness and interest in the Data Science program that was launched in 2020, we know that this addition of a data analytics degree is highly desired by our students. Data-driven careers are in great demand in many different industries and this program will prepare students to dive into the path of their choosing well-equipped with the knowledge and skills they will need.”
The Data Analytics program is building on the success of the MS in Data Science program that was introduced in 2020 and has been a popular path for students ever since. As of Fall 2023, 1826 students were enrolled in the MS in Data Science (MSDS) program and 243 students were enrolled in the MSDS/MBA Dual Degree program.
The MS in Data Analytics and MS in Data Science programs are intentionally very similar in course content, but the Analytics program offers the opportunity to focus on the acquired skills more broadly, including outside business contexts. Courses from the MBA program can be added as well, for students exploring the business analytics route.
The new MS in Data Analytics provides in-depth technical knowledge and instruction while emphasizing the critical, moral, philosophical, and spiritual values often overlooked in analytical programs.
