Mission

The Mission of the Office of Planning and Effectiveness is:

  1. To provide oversight for and facilitate a consistent cycle of planning and continuous improvement.
  2. To promote and contribute to a culture of decision making that is mission-driven and data informed.
  3. To support the university's efforts to develop and maintain a body of evidence that the institution is achieving its goals.

Goal

To provide Eastern constituencies with complete and accurate information both to inform decision making and to demonstrate how the University is advancing its mission of "preparing graduates to impact the world through faith, reason, and justice."

We collaborate across all colleges and divisions of the University and integrate data about EU with institutional and student learning assessment results. Areas of responsibility include oversight and support of the University's strategic planning, institutional assessment, institutional research, accreditation, compliance and risk management functions.

Structure

The Office of Planning and Effectiveness is a division of the university led by the Vice President of Planning and Effectiveness.
