Bernardo S. Phipps

Leadership Executive


Bernardo S. Phipps, MBA, is an accomplished risk management, compliance, and organizational leadership executive with extensive experience across financial services, regulatory oversight, public accounting, consulting, entrepreneurship, and federal government operations.

He currently serves as a Senior Compliance Risk Management Consultant with the United States Federal Government and as a Senior Risk Management Consultant for one of the world's leading Big Four accounting and advisory firms. Throughout his career, Bernardo has specialized in governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, internal controls, financial accountability, and organizational effectiveness.

Prior to his consulting career, Bernardo served in leadership positions within the Mutual Fund Accounting Division of BNY Mellon, including Assistant Manager and Assistant Treasurer, supporting operations associated with investment portfolios representing more than $2 trillion in assets under management. He also served as a Senior Analyst with JPMorgan Chase and as a Staff Accountant with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where he collaborated with the Quantitative Analytics Unit on the National Exam Analytics Tool (NEAT), an innovative trade surveillance initiative.

A former NCAA Division I student-athlete at St. Francis College, Bernardo competed in basketball and proudly represented the twin-island Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis at both the national and collegiate levels in track and field, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to excellence in athletics, academics, and leadership.

Bernardo holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. Francis College and a Master of Business Administration in Organizational Management from Eastern University's College of Business and Leadership, where he graduated with Highest Distinction.
