Eastern University celebrated its Centennial on March 19, 2025. From our founding as Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary until now, God's faithfulness has sustained, empowered, and inspired our vibrant community. The vision of 6 ministers with a dream for Christ-centered education in 1925 has became a vibrant University community with over 8,500 students that are making a difference in this world.

Eastern University through the Years

1932: The Seminary establishes the Collegiate Division, incorporating two years of liberal arts studies into the curriculum.

Eastern Rittenhouse Square Campus

Eastern Rittenhouse Square Campus

1939: The Seminary purchases the Green Hill Farms Hotel in Wynnewood, PA, where it will remain for the next 73 years.
