Megan D. Acedo has been at Eastern University since 2013 where she serves as the Coordinator of Student Ministries & Service Learning and is responsible for our service learning program embedded in First-Year Programs, student-led campus ministries, and immersion experiences for students. She also teaches as adjunct faculty in First-Year Programs and the Social Work department. She has been on Staff Council since 2017 and was elected as Moderator in 2020. In addition to her responsibilities at the University, Megan has served on search committees, working groups, and task forces across a variety of departments and divisions.
A graduate of Westmont College and a California transplant to the east coast, Megan earned her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and Master of Social Work in Nonprofit and Public Management from Rutgers University. She is immensely involved in her local church, Beacon Church, the Presbytery of Philadelphia, and her neighborhood running club. She lives in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia with her family.
