By day, Nicole Markert (pronouns: she/they) serves as the Director of Academic Advising and Advocacy at Eastern University where she oversees advising best practices and technologies. She graduated from Eastern in 2020 with a B.A. in English Writing and Literature and earned double master's degrees in Publishing and Creative Writing from Rosemont College. She is currently pursuing her EdD in Interpersonal Leadership in Educational Contexts at Kent State University. Her poetry has been published in numerous literary magazines, and she has worked for several publications. By night, they are collecting all things pink, enjoying retro video games, and petting their three cats: Athena and Iris, named after Greek gods, and Egg, who likes…well, eggs.
