

Sonya Davis
Sonya Davis is a seasoned Technology Executive at Vanguard, where she has dedicated the past 30 years. Currently, she serves as a director of application engineering for Vanguard.com and companion mobile capabilities. Sonya began her journey at Vanguard in the Technology Leadership program as an application engineer and has since held various roles, including Technical Lead, Project Manager, and Software Engineering Manager. Throughout her career, she has led teams within Corporate Systems, the Chief Technology Office, and Personal Investor Technology, serving personal investor clients. Additionally, Sonya has managed shared services teams supporting the IT division. Sonya has been instrumental in leading the IT Women's Initiative for Leadership Success resource group, the IT Engagement Initiative, and was an inaugural member of the Black Organization for Leadership Success resource group at Vanguard.
Sonya Davis is an active member of The Hill church in Wilmington, DE, where her husband serves as pastor. She leads the Women’s Life Group and is a Trustee for Sycamore Hill church. Sonya and her husband have two children, Asha and Jai ‘mere. Sonya enjoys traveling, spending time with her family at the beach, and is an avid college football fan. Sonya holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Clarion University and a Master of Science in Information Science from Penn State. She recently completed the Securities Industry Institute SIFMA program at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
