The Conference Assistant position is a fusion of many different types of work. Our CAs are expected to act as front desk attendants, resident assistants, housekeepers, setup crew, office assistants, and all over jack/jill-of-all-trades. We never know what may come up during the Summer Conference Season, but we know we can always count on our CAs to help serve our guests while representing Eastern’s Christian Hospitality Ministry. Dull moments are few and far between for our CAs during the summer and we are so glad that they are always willing to help!

The Lifeguards of the Eastern University Pool are on duty from Spring Commencement through Labor Day. You can find them taking care of the pool facility, up on the Lifeguard stand, while always looking after the pool patrons, and helping Conferences and Special Events out when needed.

During the school year, our Special Events Assistants help the Conferences and Special Events Department with office work and special events. They are responsible for event setups, filing, data entry, invoice and checking entry, copying, deliveries, mailing, phones, and organization. Our students gain customer service and event service skills, clerical and office experience that will benefit them long after their college careers.

Our Special Events Crew are the students we know we can rely on to assist during the busy times of the school year. They are there to assist during Commencement, Homecoming, Convocation, and any other important events where the Conferences and Special Events Department may need some extra hands. We are so lucky to have such great students we can count on when we need them!
