Dr. Emily Larsen Avnet, PsyD will begin as an adjunct professor for the Psychology Department in Fall 2026. Emily earned her B.A. in Psychology at The New School and her M.A. and PsyD in Clinical Psychology, with a focus in child and adolescent work, from George Fox University. During her graduate program, Emily completed training in inpatient hospitals, emergency departments, intensive outpatient programs, private practice, and community mental health. Emily has experience in both psychological assessment and therapy through the lifespan, with an attachment focused perspective. She is passionate about creating a warm and supportive learning environment that fosters self-awareness and growth.
