Laura earned her MS in Data Science in March 2023 and went on to work in operations and academic quality for the Data Science programs, supporting curriculum development and program improvement. She served as a Graduate Assistant in DTSC 560 Data Science for Business and also as a Faculty Teaching Assistant in DTSC 690 Capstone: Ethical and Philosophical Issues in Data Science. She now leads initiatives in AI integration and automated process innovation for Eastern’s Center for Teaching, Learning &Technology (CTLT).
From 2015 to 2020, Laura and her husband ran two small businesses focused on village tourism and sustainable agriculture in the Himalayas. In 2020, they relocated to the U.S. and now live in Minnesota with their two daughters. In her free time, you’ll usually find Laura reading sci-fi or fantasy, and she’s always open to book recommendations!
