Katie Starrantino, LCSW, M.Ed., is an adjunct professor in the BSW and MSW programs at Eastern University. She brings over 12 years of social work experience spanning health care, senior care, and mental health. Currently, Katie serves as a clinical therapist in private practice and works as a care navigator for a cancer support help line.  Both roles have blessed her with the opportunity to guide individuals and families through complex challenges. In addition to her clinical work, she provides supervision and mentorship to Licensed Social Workers (LSWs) working toward their clinical licensure (LCSW).

Katie earned her Master of Social Work from West Chester University and a Master of Education in Human Sexuality Education—Sex Therapy Track from Widener University. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to supporting clients across diverse settings with compassionate, client-centered care.

In the classroom, Katie’s teaching approach is centered on real-world application, ensuring that students understand how social work theories translate directly into daily professional practice. Rooted in a personal value of giving back, she is passionate about mentoring the next generation of social workers, fostering their professional growth, and equipping them to serve their communities with skill, empathy, and integrity.
