Previous PEP Events & Initiatives

  • PEP's artist-in-residence, Tieshka Smith, prepared an exhibit called "Celebrating Higher Education Behind Bars." The exhibit is designed to foster community dialogue about the college-in-prison experience. PEP student artwork was displayed and performed at the Philadelphia Ethical Society and Eastern University.
  • Darrell Alston delivered a guest lecture to Dr. Al Socci’s ENTR 100 class. Darrell’s Fall 2022 collection just debuted at Neiman Marcus.  
  • PEP student Jy’Aire Smith publishes another powerful essay through the Marshall Project. Eastern is honored to be a part of Jy’Aire’s story.
