Eastern University is concerned with how students are treated, desires to help them understand process and procedures and wants to hear and resolve student concerns and grievances. In compliance with Federal Department of Education regulations and because of the aforementioned concern for students, Eastern University has the following policies concerning grievance resolution.
Students in Blended or Online programs from out of state should attempt to resolve any issues or complaints with Eastern University. The process for filing a grievance is outlined in the Grievance Policy. Students are expected to exhaust these internal Grievance Procedures before seeking resolution externally.
If the grievances are solved unsatisfactorily by the University and the student resides in a SARA state, the student may file a complaint about Eastern University with the Pennsylvania SARA protal agency, regardless of the SARA state in which the student resides by clicking on this link: PA Department of Education-Postsecondary and Adult Education. The agency's contact information is as follows:
PA Department of Education-Postsecondary and Adult Education
333 Market St., 12th Floor
Harrisburg, PA 17126-0333
For students residing in non-SARA states, please use this link to contact your state regarding grievances.
