Certification in Early Childhood w/ Special Education (Pre K-8)

Eastern University's Early Childhood Education Certification program combined with the Special Education Certification program prepares highly skilled educational practitioners who can serve in a variety of PK-12 grade school settings. Students are trained to communicate effectively, think critically, embrace cultural and linguistic diversity, utilize technology appropriately, practice inclusive interventions, learn independently and collaboratively, and serve competently in both fields. These programs are designed for students who are interested in obtaining both the Certification in Early Childhood Education (PK-4) and in Special Education (PK-12).

Education majors may pursue a minor in any subject area by fulfilling appropriate departmental requirements for a minor although it is not required.
