Celebrating 50 Years of Faith, Science & Discovery
For 50 years, Dr. David Bradstreet ‘76 has invited generations of Eastern students to ask big questions, pursue truth, and explore the universe through the lens of faith. As he prepares to conclude his remarkable career at Eastern, we invite the Eastern community to celebrate his legacy and help carry his work forward.

Carry the Legacy Forward
Dr. Bradstreet's impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Through his teaching, research, and leadership of Eastern's Observatory and Planetarium, he has helped generations of students discover that faith and science are not at odds—but in conversation.
“He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names.” Psalm 147: 4
This campaign will ensure that the programs and opportunities he helped build continue to serve Eastern students for years to come.
What We’re Seeking to Fund
Your gift to Keep Looking Up will help provide:
- Two new telescopes to replace Eastern’s aging primary telescopes and expand opportunities for student research and discovery.*
- Planetarium upgrades to modernize the facility’s projection technology and enhance educational experiences for students and visitors.*
- Endowed fund to establish a possible chair or visiting lecturer fund.*
Together, these investments will help ensure Eastern’s astronomy facilities remain a place where students can explore the universe, pursue scientific discovery, and engage questions of faith and science for generations to come.
*Total dollars raised will determine what items may be funded.
