Sherri Humphries

Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy


Dr. Humphries is an Assistant Professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy department. She has also served as adjunct professor in the Psychology department at Eastern University. As a licensed professional counselor, Dr. Humphries has a private practice where she works with adults, couples, and families. She has also worked for many years in community mental health with children, families, individuals, couples, and groups. Much of her work has focused on the special needs of adopted children and their families. She is passionate about family work and believes that individuals can heal from past traumas and hurts in the context of relationships. Dr. Humphries is an active member of her church community where she participates in workshops, presentations and other opportunities that seek to promote healing, wholeness, and spiritual growth for the body of Christ.
