Spring Break 2025

Robert Gauthier, Executive Director of the Campolo Center, and Rev. Jane Filkin, Director of Leadership Development + Spiritual Formation of the Campolo Center for Ministry led a group of 18, including 14 students and two alumni and local pastors to the Mexico-US border. They were hosted by a Texas based ministry, Faithworks (formerly Fellowship Southwest) and traveled from San Antonio to Eagle Pass, TX and into Piedras Negros, Mexico. From there, they journeyed down the Rio Grande to Harlingen and Brownsville, TX and ended with a day in Reynosa, Mexico. Throughout the pilgrimage they met with pastors and ministry leaders providing meals, shelter, education, and spiritual support to migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers on both sides of the border.  Read about their experience here: https://www.eastern.edu/news/campolo-fellows-pilgrimage.
