Allysa Carilla

Adjunct Professor of Psychology


Allysa Carilla, MA, MT-BC graduated from Liberty University in 2024, where she received her masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (LPC Track). Her undergraduate work was completed at Immaculata University, where she received a Bachelor's in Music Therapy and a minor in Psychology. Allysa has extensive experience working with various populations such as drug and alcohol, mental health, trauma, alzheimers, grief, and autism spectrum disorder. She has worked in various levels of care, including residential, inpatient, intensive outpatient, general outpatient, school-based early intervention, and private practice. She has worked with children, adolescents, emerging adults, middle-aged, and the geriatric. Today, Allysa works as a youth chaplain, a Christian counselor, a music therapist, and an adjunct professor. In her free time, she enjoys singing, reading, fellowship, and pickleball. Having first-hand experience, she believes in the transformative power of Jesus Christ. With her clinical skill set, knowledge, experience, and passion, Allysa empowers students to live out their God-given calling and make a lasting impact for the Kingdom of God.
