Betty Wright- Riggins is an ordained American Baptist Minister and Certified Spiritual Director. She has served the denomination as Pastor, consultant, executive leader and co- founder of the American Baptist Spiritual Director's Network.
Reverend Betty taught in Eastern’s School of Christian Ministry ( ESCM) for over six years. She is the Principal of TrustOne, a consultancy ministry for spiritual direction, spiritual formation, seminars and retreat coordination.
Reverend Betty founded home spiritual formation gatherings,” Breathing the Breath of God” ( BBOG). She sends voiced scripture reading, “ Breathing in Scripture” weekly to recipients nation-wide. She is on staff at the Middleton Center for Counseling and Spiritual Direction. She serves as group facilitator at Oasis Ministry for Spiritual Development and maintains an active spiritual direction practice.
Reverend Betty is married to Reverend Dr. Aidsand F. Wright- Riggins. They have three adult children and are raising their beloved grand daughter and her dog Paisley.
Education
- Masters of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia PA.
- Masters in Education Administration, Post Graduate Studies in Speech Pathology and Bachelor of Speech Pathology all from California State University, Los Angeles.
