Brian Washburn is a healthcare executive, educator, and operations leader with extensive experience across hospitals, physician practices, nonprofit behavioral health organizations, and academic settings. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Catalyst for Change, a Montana based nonprofit focused on expanding access to behavioral health services in rural communities through telepsychiatry, therapy, and care coordination programs.
Dr. Washburn started his healthcare management career at Mayo Clinic as a Health System Engineer and has since held senior leadership roles in healthcare organizations across the United States, including Chief Operating Officer of Humboldt General Hospital in Nevada, Regional Administrator for Praxis Health in the Pacific Northwest, administrative leadership roles with UW Medicine, and operational leadership with Billings Clinic (Montana). His experience includes strategic growth, physician practice management, finance, quality improvement, project management, rural healthcare operations, and organizational development.
Dr. Washburn is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE), and a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA). He also serves on the Idaho MGMA Board and is active in civic and community service through Lions Club and Rotary Club.
