Michael Schaninger

Michael Schaninger serves as an adjunct faculty member at Eastern University, where he advises MBA Capstone students, teaches within the business program, and supports FLEX course development.

Professionally, Michael’s background includes work in both the medical device field and the commercial insurance industry. He currently holds the position of Account Manager and Team Lead, overseeing a team responsible for a broad and complex portfolio of commercial clients. His work centers on developing tailored risk management strategies for organizations with multifaceted exposures. He holds the Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP) designation from The American College of Financial Services and the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation from the Risk & Education Alliance, and he is presently pursuing the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) credential.

In his academic role, Michael is particularly committed to supporting students as they transition into the workforce or seek career advancement. He is dedicated to helping them apply theoretical frameworks to practical challenges, fostering both professional readiness and long-term growth.

Michael resides in Downingtown, Pennsylvania with his wife, Brooke, and their two dogs, Benny and Jackson. He is an avid traveler who has visited 21 national parks—Yosemite being his favorite—and a devoted reader of historical non-fiction, with a particular interest in American history.
