Sheretta Pearson

Adjunct Faculty, College of Business & Leadership

Dr. Pearson’s research agenda centers on ethical, pedagogically sound, and performance-enhancing uses of artificial intelligence in postsecondary education, with particular attention to instructional integrity and equitable learning outcomes. She examines how AI tools can be integrated into college teaching in ways that uphold academic standards while improving feedback cycles, cognitive engagement, and skill development rather than enabling dependency or shortcut learning. A complementary strand of her work focuses on evidence-based best practices for AI use among multilingual and international students whose primary language is not English, exploring how AI can serve as a scaffold for language clarity, academic confidence, and disciplinary communication without compromising authorship, voice, or learning authenticity. Her scholarship bridges instructional design, academic ethics, and student success, aiming to develop practical frameworks that help institutions, faculty, and business students leverage AI as a tool for learning amplification rather than academic substitution.
