Our Goal

Excellence. Creativity. Storytelling. The Marketing & University Relations department is dedicated to accurately representing and promoting Eastern University's distinctive excellence as a Christian institution of higher learning. We serve all colleges of the University and the Executive Leadership Team.

Our goal is to celebrates and share the news and accomplishments of academic programs, alumni, faculty, leadership, partners, staff, and students. Through brochures, billboards, TV commercials, radio ads, public transit ads, digital ads, webpages, banners, flyers, and more, we showcase Eastern's diverse programs and accomplishments. We aim to exhibit excellence in all graphic design projects, writing and video creation, partnerships, and web and online technologies. Using the best tools available, we engage consultants and vendors as an additional resource for marketing services to help in executing strategic marketing initiatives. 

Our office is also responsible for public relations, media relations, communication strategies, crisis communication, and Board of Trustee relations. We oversee all social media accounts for the University and execute photography and videography to document the life of the University. We publish two issues a year of Eastern, The Magazine of Eastern University. 

Our Team

Our leadership representative is the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Chief Marketing Officer oversees the service areas within the department: Strategic Communications & Marketing, Alliances & Partnerships, Branding & Design, University Relations, Video & Social Media, and Web & Writing.

The people who work in our department are our greatest asset. Their knowledge and ability to multi-task across a variety of projects and demanding deadlines is commendable. We hope that you will have an opportunity to get to know those who work in the department and who work diligently to promote Eastern University among prospects, in businesses, and through external materials produced for a variety of audiences.
