Dr. Kera Gentle-Brake, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Business & Leadership at Eastern University, where she teaches graduate-level courses. As a scholar-practitioner, she blends leadership theory, ethics, and emerging technologies to prepare future executives to lead with clarity, integrity, and impact. With more than ten years of business experience, she brings real-world strategy, organizational insight, and entrepreneurial expertise into every learning environment.
Dr. Gentle-Brake is the Founder & CEO of DGB Learning & Consultant Center, LLC, a leadership and education consulting firm serving schools, businesses, and community organizations. Her work centers on developing ethical leaders who influence culture, elevate engagement, and build systems that support long-term success. She is the creator of several signature programs including EmpowerHER, DGB Leaders United, and the DGB AI Masterclass, all designed to equip youth and adults to lead with identity, purpose, and resilience. She is also an author and dissertation coach whose work inspires leaders to integrate character, innovation, and impact in their personal and professional lives.
Her doctoral dissertation, A Phenomenological Study on Principal Leadership Impact on Employee Engagement, Job Satisfaction, and Productivity, explored how middle school principals cultivate working environments that empower educators and accelerate student achievement in Title I urban schools. Her findings continue to guide her consulting practice and leadership coaching across the New York City education landscape.
In addition to her scholarship, Dr. Gentle-Brake serves as an AI in Education Advisor, helping schools, districts, and organizations understand and adopt artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively. She is also a Certified AI Consultant and member of the International Association of AI Consultants (IAAIC), where she advances ethical, human-centered AI practices for educators and leaders. Through her masterclasses and professional learning experiences, she supports teams in integrating AI to improve productivity, decision-making, and instructional innovation.
