Eastern's Integration of Psychology & Theology

  • Completed Master of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, Masters of Counseling, or Masters degree in a related field from an institutionally accredited and endorsed by CHEA college, university, or seminary.
  • Completed bachelor’s degree from an institutionally accredited and endorsed by CHEA college or university.
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Interview with the DA Admissions Committee.
  • Completed application packet, including: official Transcripts- official transcripts must be submitted from all institutions of higher education that the applicant attended; resume/curriculum vitae; two essays (see below); $75 application fee.

  • Statement of Purpose: A four to six-page essay addressing how the program goals coincide with the student's personal and professional objectives. The essay will be evaluated on the basis of content, presentation, and evidence of doctoral-level writing ability.
  • Statement of Faith: A four to six-page descriptive, analytical essay focusing on how you have been impacted by your family of origin (positively and/or negatively) and how your faith journey has informed your understanding of yourself as a professional. This essay will be evaluated based on content, presentation, and evidence of doctoral-level writing ability.

Application Schedule:

  • Early completed applications for the May 2024 cohort are due by October 13, 2023
  • Regular completed applications for the May 2024 cohort are due by January 19. 2024.
  • Admissions decisions for the May 2024 cohort will be issued by March 15, 2024
