Application Deadlines:

  • August 2026 start: June 15
  • January 2027 start: November 15 for 

For the January 2027 start, an application and all supplemental items must be submitted by the dates referenced above. An interview will be scheduled after all application materials have been received. 

Entry Terms:

  • Fall (August) and Spring (January)

Admissions Requirements

  • Minimum Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 required. A graduate GPA over 3.0 can also satisfy the minimum GPA requirement.
  • Completion of all prerequisite courses with a grade of C+ or higher. These courses may  be included in a prior degree, but must be completed before commencing the Direct Entry MSN program.
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited liberal arts college or university. (Direct entry route allows students to have their first degree accepted and stand for their core and general education requirements)

  • Current Resume
  • Official Transcript(s) must be submitted from all colleges attended. 
  • Personal Statement: In 100 words or less, please include your responses to the following:
    • Why do you want to study nursing, and why now?
    • Why are you choosing Eastern University? 
  • Interview with Nursing representative
