Admissions Requirements

  • Minimum Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 required. A graduate GPA over 3.0 can also satisfy the minimum GPA requirement.
  • Completion of all prerequisite courses with a grade of C+ or higher. These courses may  be included in a prior degree, but must be completed before commencing the Direct Entry MSN program.
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited liberal arts college or university. (Direct entry route allows students to have their first degree accepted and stand for their core and general education requirements)

Application Steps

If you meet the above requirements, submit the following:

  • Application: Completed and signed at eastern.edu/apply
  • Current Resume
  • Official Transcript(s) must be submitted from all colleges attended. 
  • Personal StatementIn 100 words or less, please include your responses to the following:
    • Why do you want to study nursing, and why now?
    • Why are you choosing Eastern University? 
  • Interview with Nursing representative 

PA State Board of Nursing Approvals

The MSN Direct-Entry program is currently moving through the standard approval process with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. We anticipate that it will be approved soon and will update this webpage when the approvals are complete. In the meantime, students can continue to move through the application process.
