Kimberly Sutherland
Kimberly Sutherland is a Data Governance Communication Manager with Daiichi-Sankyo’s Data Governance Change Management program where she works to raise awareness of the importance of Data Governance across a global organization. She spent two decades at AstraZeneca in several senior roles managing large-scale, global data governance programs. She is widely recognized for her ability to bridge business and technical priorities, influence senior leaders, and communicate complex concepts in accessible ways. She holds certifications in PMP, SAFe, and ITIL, and is known for driving governance strategies that produce measurable business outcomes.
As an adjunct faculty member at Eastern University, Kimberly teaches healthcare information management systems and healthcare quality, law and policy. Her teaching centers around drawing from her real-world experience to help students connect theory to practice. She believes in the power of communication, relationship-building, and intrinsic motivation in the learning process, and she strives to make complex topics approachable and engaging through her energetic teaching style.
Originally from South Philadelphia, she now resides in Wilmington, DE, with her two sons. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys reading, watching historical and biblical documentaries, psychological thrillers, and volunteering at her sons’ school.
