Dr. Duthie serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Traditional Undergraduate Business Programs. His research interests include Behavioral Economics and Game Theory. In the classroom, Dr. Duthie focuses on the development of problem solving and critical thinking skills. He teaches students to apply economic and financial theory to topical, real-world situations.

Dr. Duthie comes to Eastern University after a twenty year career in finance, where he worked most recently as Managing Director of Institutional Rate Sales at Bank of America. During the course of his finance career Dr. Duthie also worked for Bank One in Chicago and for JP Morgan in Chicago, New York, and Singapore. Throughout his time on Wall Street, Dr. Duthie maintained ties to teaching. He taught numerous finance courses at Columbia Business School, Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, and Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
