Rev. Dr. Wayne M. Weathers was born and raised in Chester, PA, and is a Pastor, Community Organizer, Social Justice Activist, Global Educator, and a Christian Entrepreneur.
He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel-Restaurant Management from Virginia State University, Petersburg, Virginia, Master of Divinity Degree from Duke University Divinity School, Durham, North Carolina, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Lutheran Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Rev. Dr. Wayne M. Weathers is the organizer and Pastor of Vision of Hope Baptist Church, whose church was commissioned by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and became the first African American Church commissioned in the Northeast. Rev. Dr. Weathers is the former Pennsylvania Deputy Coalition Director of Faith Engagement with the Biden-Harris Pennsylvania Presidential Campaign and served as a Faith-Based Political Consultant for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, working on the Harris 2024 Presidential Campaign. He worked on various political campaigns in Philadelphia. He is a Certified Life Coach operating through his consulting business, Bound for Greatness (BFG) LLC. He is the former Director of the Doctor of Ministry at Program at Bakke Graduate University, Adjunct Professor at Lancaster Bible College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Palmer Theological Seminary, St. Davids, PA, Former Moderator of the Pennsylvania Eastern Keystone Baptist Association, 1st Vice President of Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity and serves as the Political Action Chair. Rev. Dr. Wayne M. Weathers hosts his radio show, “Conversation Unplugged,” on WWDB 860 A.M. in Philadelphia, Pa., and is the 2024 recipient of the Emmanuel McCall Racial Justice Trailblazer Award with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
Rev. Dr. Wayne M. Weathers is trained in Taekwondo, Do Karate, and Tiger Schulman Martial Arts and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. He has received the following awards:

Rev. Dr. Wayne M. Weathers loves to read, write poetry, and engage in political and community discourse for community transformation. He is married to Benita Weathers, and he is blessed to have three adult children, a godson, and two granddaughters.
