Nicholas “Cole” Neumann

Observatory/Planetarium Administrator

Cole graduated from Butler University in 2022 with a B.S. in Astronomy & Astrophysics. During his undergraduate studies, he worked as a tour guide for the observatory and planetarium on Butler’s campus where he gave weekly tours to the public, along with planetarium shows and telescope viewings. He moved to Pennsylvania in the Summer of 2022 from his home in Chicago to begin work as Administrator of the Bradstreet Observatory. Cole assists Dr. Bradstreet with student lab experiences, public tours of the observatory, and research mainly focusing on binary stars.

Cole’s interest in astronomy started as far back as elementary school with learning about the planets of the solar system and he hasn’t looked back since. Starting work at the Bradstreet Observatory has been a dream come true for him, and he looks to bring that enthusiasm to visitors and students alike.
