Preparation for a Variety of Careers

The Sociology program at Eastern University prepares individuals to pursue a variety of career interests—from research and data analysis, teaching, and social work, to business and nonprofit management. It provides students with some of the most highly valued skills for work in the 21st century including the ability to think critically; communicate clearly; understand social structures and group processes; evaluate and process information; and summarize and interpret data.
