VA Work Study Program

Key members of our Center for Military & Veteran Students are our Veteran Affairs (VA) Work Study students. The VA Work Study program allows full-time or 3/4 time students using most VA benefits to "earn while they learn" by working with our Veteran team. Learn more about the VA Work Study Program.

Our work study students have the opportunity to work in a number of capacities including: administrative duties, special projects, veteran recruitment activities, social media management, meeting with and assisting military-connected students with utilizing benefits, giving tours to military-connected students, and serving in the establishment, leadership, and administration of Eastern's Veteran club. A brief description of two of these positions are below.

Veteran Student Liaison

Meets with and provides assistance to military-connected students and their families in range of capacities including giving tours, face to face meetings, assisting with benefit and scholarship applications, and communicating with other Eastern offices on the behalf of military-connected students.

Veteran Student Ambassador

Assists enrollment team with recruitment activities focusing on veterans and military-connected students including engaging attendees at Veteran career and education fairs and other events and representing Eastern at veteran focused networking events.
