

What is a Non-Degree Student?
A Non-Degree Student is someone who enrolls in credit-bearing courses without enrolling in a degree program. Reasons for enrolling as a non-degree student might include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Professional development for career advancement which may require taking individual courses, but not a full degree.
- Lifelong learners looking to expand their knowledge for personal enrichment or professional growth.
- Students fulfilling academic prerequisites for advanced study or future degree programs.
- Visiting students who want to take courses and transfer credits back to their home college.
- Many additional reasons specific to your unique situation.
Important Information:
- Financial Aid Eligibility: Non-degree students are not eligible for financial aid.
- Credit Limit:
- Undergraduate: A maximum of 12 credits may be completed before declaring a degree.
- Graduate: A maximum of 18 credits may be completed before declaring a degree.
- Course Availability: Enrollment does not guarantee course availability. Students are responsible for confirming course offerings, and registration is on a space-available basis.
- Course Load: Students may take 1 or 2 courses per 7-week term, depending on course availability.

Admissions Requirements for Graduate Programs
- Application: Completed and signed - Apply online for free!
- Official transcript(s):
- From the degree-conferring undergraduate (and graduate if applicable) institution* you attended, preferably (but not necessarily) from a college or university that is institutionally accredited and endorsed by CHEA.
- *Applicants with unaccredited Bachelor's Degrees can be considered for admission on a case by case basis.
- Transcripted studies should reflect adequate preparation for study in the relevant graduate program.

- From the degree-conferring undergraduate (and graduate if applicable) institution* you attended, preferably (but not necessarily) from a college or university that is institutionally accredited and endorsed by CHEA.
- Possible Program-Specific Requirements: A few of Eastern’s specific graduate programs may have additional admissions requirements. Please contact your enrollment counselor to learn about any additional requirements.

How to Submit your Official Transcript(s)
Follow the Instructions: Order your official transcripts, fill out any information required, and pay any fees that might be requested. You may be asked to fill in this info about Eastern:
- Our Address: Please have your transcript mailed to “Eastern University, GPS Admissions, 1300 Eagle Rd, St. Davids, PA 19087.”
- Our Email: If they have an option for electronic delivery, you may have your transcript sent to gpsadm@eastern.edu.
