Genaro is blessed and honored to be part of the Eastern University Family.

He has enjoyed a dynamic music career in the US and abroad. Highlights include solo recitals at the Endless Mountains Music Festival in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania; Solo recitals and Chamber music concerts at the Interharmony Music Festival in the Berkshires, Massachusetts. Soloist with the Interharmony Music Festival Symphony orchestra in the Netherlands and Germany; soloist with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra and the Bay Atlantic Symphony Orchestra. Genaro has performed with several music organizations such as the Lancaster Symphony, the Philadelphia pops orchestra, the Virtuosi chamber music orchestra, the Garden State Philharmonic, to name a few. He has led as concertmaster the Duquesne Symphony Orchestra, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, the Kennett Square Symphony orchestra, the Pennsylvania Philharmonic, the Interharmony symphony and chamber orchestras. Currently he leads the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, in Altoona Pennsylvania, and he is the principal second violinist of the Bay Atlantic Symphony. His orchestral solos have been featured in live radio broadcasts in W.Q.E.D multimedia classical radio station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Genaro is the Winner of the 2007 Duquesne Symphony Orchestra’s concerto competition, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Committed to education, Genaro has taught the love for music and the violin to students of all educational levels. He has balanced a busy performance schedule with a successful private violin and viola studio alongside his wife, Lela. Prior to teaching at Eastern University, Genaro has taught violin lessons at Stockton College, in Galloway, New Jersey; West Virginia University, in Morgantown, West Virginia, and strings pedagogy at Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Genaro is in debt of gratitude to his mentors. They enabled him to nurture the enthusiasm, the love for music and the violin:
