Tara Harvey is a freelance oboist in the Philadelphia area. She earned a Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana University and a Master of Music in Oboe Performance from McGill University. Her primary teacher was Theodore Baskin (Principal Oboe, Montreal Symphony). Mrs. Harvey performs regularly with many area groups including Jubilate Deo Chorale & Orchestra, Vox Ama Deus and Rittenhouse String Quartet, Ensembles and Orchestras. Mrs. Harvey is also on faculty at Valley Forge Christian College, and teaches privately in her home. Tara lives in North Wales with her husband and three children. They are members of Storehouse Church in Plymouth Meeting.
