

Cristine Cappo is an alumna of Eastern University’s Clinical Counseling Program. After graduation, she began her clinical career specializing in pediatric work with a focus on Autism and childhood behavior disorders. She went on to achieve licensure as a Professional Counselor and Behavior Specialist, expanding her scope of practice to serve clients across the lifespan. In her private practice, Cristine integrates her certification in animal-assisted therapy to provide compassionate care while working alongside her canine partner, Pippy.
Beyond her clinical work, Cristine provides supervision for Pennsylvania LPC licensure and collaborates with agencies to deliver IBHS services to pediatric populations in multiple counties across Pennsylvania. Returning to her alma mater, she first served as an Adjunct Professor before accepting her current role as Academic Counselor and Field Site Coordinator for the Clinical Counseling Program. With a strong foundation in vocational and psychotherapeutic counseling, coupled with her love of teaching, Cristine is dedicated to equipping and inspiring current and prospective students as they prepare for meaningful careers in the mental health field.

Cristine is dedicated to empowering individuals to overcome fears and disrupt maladaptive
behavioral patterns. She is currently collaborating with the department on a research proposal
to investigate the efficacy of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy utilizing virtual
reality technology.
