There is a strong need for Clinical Counselors, School Counselors and School Psychologists. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports Counseling as a rapidly growing profession: employment of substance abuse, behavioral disorder, and mental health counselors is projected to grow 23 percent from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations. School counseling and psychology have similar job projection profiles, and all of these professions are ranked among the Best Social Service Jobs of 2022 by US News: Substance Abuse/Behavior Disorder Counselors are ranked #3, School Psychologists are ranked #5, School Counselors #12, and Mental Health Counselors #15.
