Molly Scarlato has been a registered nurse since 2017. Her nursing practice began after she attended Thomas Jefferson University as a second-degree nurse. Prior to nursing, Molly attended Gettysburg College, where she earned a BA in Health Sciences and Spanish. She has experience working with adult inpatients on medical-surgical, telemetry, and oncology units and is a certified medical-surgical registered nurse. Molly earned her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Messiah University, where she first learned about the experiential opportunities offered through simulation. After completing her MSN, she began teaching at Eastern University in the BSN program and is a certified nurse educator. On a part-time basis, Molly maintains clinical practice at the bedside and also works with the transition-to-practice nurse residency team at her healthcare institution. She pursued her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a nursing leadership concentration, also from Messiah University, and further immersed herself in the art and science of simulation pedagogies and best practices. Molly completed her DNP in May of 2024 and has disseminated her work through conferences. Molly also teaches in the MSN program and serves as the simulation educator at Eastern University. She is eager to further advance the experiential learning for her students and to grow the interprofessional education opportunities through collaborative efforts. Integrating faith into her practice as a registered nurse and educator is important to Molly. She believes the Lord called her to serve and considers it a blessing to do so. In her spare time, Molly volunteers at her local dog shelter (where she previously adopted her dogs from), antique shopping with her husband Greg, and spending time with her family.
